Kenneth Albert Olkon, known to many as “Evil Okie” and “The Taco Bandit” passed away on February 25, 2016, in Rio Rancho, NM. He was born on October 10, 1941 in Saint Paul, MN. Predeceased by mother, Violette Olkon and father, Ivan “Van” Olkon. Kenny is survived by his dearest and best friend, Sandra “Sandy” Plank; nieces: Lisa (Carl) Olkon Van De Steeg, Jeanne (Mark) Adam, Barbara (John) Krenn; nephews: Joel (Chris) Baumgartner, Richard (Laurie) Baumgartner, Robert (Lisa) Baumgartner and James Baumgartner. Kenny proudly served in the United States Air Force and also in the US Coast Guard before working for the Miami Dade Police Department. Kenny always wanted to be a cowboy. And to his family and friends that’s what he will always be remembered as The Cowboy of Rio Rancho! A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
