Kevin A. Martinez

KEVIN A. MARTINEZ, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM passed away August 11, 2018.  He was born in Santa Fe, NM September 25, 1970. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Martinez of Abiquiu; paternal grandparents, Pete & Luisa Martinez of El Guique; maternal grandparents,  Joe C. & Bessie Romero of Hernandez; He is survived by his wife, Jeanie; mother, Patricia Romero Lewis;  step father, Rick Lewis; mother in Law,  Frances Ortiz. Along with his children, Justin, Tamara, and Kevin Jr; siblings, Richard X. Martinez of AZ, Jamie S. Martinez of Rio Rancho, Ryan Lewis of MA, Jonathan Martinez of Espanola, Justina Martinez of Rio Rancho; step sons, Michael Montoya and Philip Sandoval of Abq; grandchildren, Jaydlyn, Ayden, Dylan, Lily, & Kalub; uncles, Jake Romero of Hernandez and Bryan Romero of AZ; aunt, Lucille Warehime of Santa Fe.

Kevin attended UTI in Phoenix, AZ. He earned an Associate’s Degree of Occupational Studies in Mechanics. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing.  His biggest passion was riding his Harley Davidson and going on bike runs with his friends.

Kevin had a fulfilling career as a Master Mechanic and elevated to a Lead Shop Foreman before he became unable to work due to his illness.

Kevin will be most remembered by those who knew him for his humor, toughness, and most of all, his ability to make friends.  His family, friends will miss him greatly. Those who knew him loved him.
