Kevin William O'Farrell

Kevin William O'Farrell, 49, of Farmington, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010, in Bloomfield. He was born July 13, 1961,in Farmington, NM., to John and Pauline O'Farrell. Kevin had a big and kind heart, and would lend a hand to anyone who was in need. Kevin, in his teen tears, was employed in a bakery. After that he worked many years in the oilfield, most recently with Teton Energy Consulting. Kevin also had many friends in the oilfield. He loved working on projects and fixing things that were broken. If he couldn't find the right part or tool, he would make one. He was a "tool junkie". He loved fishing, hiking, rock collecting and being outdoors. He said it gave him time to collect his thoughts and be closer to God. He was preceded in death by his father, John F. O'Farrell; nephew, Jesse McPherson; and stepson, Brandon Smith. He is survived by his loving mother, Pauline; ex-wife and good friend, Judy; brothers, John P. of Albuquerque and Chris (Mandi), of Crouch Mesa; sisters, Mary and Traci of Farmington, and Peggy of Glendale, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews, and stepdaughters, Shelby and Bobbie of Farmington.
