He is survived by his caring wife and best friend of 56 years,  Anita Dyer;  his children, Peter  Dyer and Tracy Herman, Susan Sturner and her  husband Guy , Sherry Dyer and Jim Borries , Kenneth Dyer and his wife Tawndy ;  grandchildren, Julie Steeples  and  Chris Haas, Shasta Saavedra  and  husband Gary , Alyssa Sturner, Jessica Domrzalski  and husband Kevin,  Brittany Dyer and  Adrien Clay;  great-grandchildren, Selena CdeBaca  and  Marcus Medina, Colton Steeples, Bode Way; and great-great-grandchild Isaac Medina.

Larry had an immense passion for water as it adventurously flowed over his life throughout the years.  He was an achieved swimmer of a competitive swim team, lifeguard and an avid windsurfer.  Additionally, he enjoyed gaming, gardening and daily doses of his adored cream horns. He was a strong patriarch for the family, vibrantly displaying his affections by the way of golf outings with his children, family camping trips alongside his wife, and mentoring/tutoring his grandchildren.   Larry was an exceptionally remarkable man that projected radiating warmth with every smile. Hearts weigh heavy in his absence as his loving nature and charismatic charm will be profoundly missed by all.
