Lars Antone Hansen III
August 11, 1921 - April 25, 2010 Our beloved Dad, Papo, brother, father-in-law, uncle and friend, Lars Antone Hansen III, left this world April 25, 2010. Lars was born August 11, 1921 in Chignik, Alaska to Lars Antone Hansen II and Nancy Jane Anderson Hansen. He proudly served his county with dignity and honor as a Marine during WWII in the Philippines. After completing his tour Lars was visiting friends in Farmington where he met and married the love of his life Myrna G. Schmitt Hansen. Together they raised 1 son and one daughter. Lars worked for the US Postal Service for many years, and retired after 25 years of service. In his spare time he loved to fish and garden. Lars always supplied his family and friends with the majestic fruits and vegetables he raised. Lars is survived by his children Lari Hopper and husband Doyle (“ Bo”), grandson Carl R. Hopper, granddaughter Mary G. Bodine and husband Matthew, Great grandchildren, Luke R. and Nicole M. all of Farmington, son Lars Antone Hansen IV of Guthrie, OK., and granddaughters, Delaney G Hansen, Antone A. Stark and husband David, great grandchildren, Francesca, Teresa and Ben all of Anthony Kansas. Brother, Morris C. Hansen of Seattle, WA., sisters Molly M. Callahan of Everett, WA., and Margaret R Montfort and husband John of Flagstaff, AZ., and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Myrna, parents Lars Antone Hansen and Nancy Jane, brothers and sisters, Minnie B. Muir, Daniel A. Hansen, James J. Hansen, Dora J. Burns, George H. Hansen; Son Carl Roedell Hansen, Grandson, Lars Antone Hansen V, and daughter-in-law Teresa A. Hansen. No words can express the vacancy you have left in our hearts and lives. You were loved much.
