Lee Romero, passed away on October 24, 2022. Lee was born May 9, 1945 and was raised in Las Vegas, NM. 
 
He loved collecting eagles, fishing, playing cards, and visiting his aunt Rita Chavez every morning for coffee and a game of cards. Lee was a fun loving man, always making friends and willing to help others in anyway he could. He loved cooking and would always take food to people he knew and loved. He loved visiting and keeping in touch with family and friends.
 
Lee is survived by wife, Helen Romero; daughters: Stephanie and husband, Carlos Galaviz, Leeann Romero, Doriann and husband Chris Garcia; and son Patricio Romero. Grandchildren: Angel, Joshua and wife Emily, Eric, Makayla, Albert and wife Mia, Natalya, Anyssa and Chris Jr. Great grandchildren: Jovan, Brianna, Khaliq, Emma, Jodeci, Juelz, Liam and Xilen. Great great grandchild, Alianna.  Siblings: Pat Romero, Virginia and husband Joseph Quintana, Yolanda and husband Luis Chavira, Geraldine and husband Mark Baca, Linda Mae and husband Tony Trujillo; and sisters-in-law, Rose Romero and Olivia Romero; brother-in-law, Leroy Lucero. 
 
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Pat Romero; mother Josie Romero; wife Patsy Romero; brothers; Tony Romero, Benny Romero, Jimmy Romero, and Eloy Romero; sisters: Becky Maes, Frances Lucero, Irene Woods; and great grandson, Jalen Gutierrez Phillips.

Lee co-founded and co-owned The Fruit Basket of Albuquerque Inc. for 33 years along with his two brothers Pat Romero and Jimmy Romero.
 
A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM with a Mass following at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd NW, Albuquerque. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
