Leland James Whedbee

Leland James Whedbee Aug. 2, 1966 - Oct. 25, 2010 Leland James Whedbee, 44, of Bloomfield, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, in Flora Vista. He was born Aug. 2, 1966, the son of Virginia Fowler and Bob Whedbee. He is the little brother of Mark, Bobbie, Dennis and Glenn Whedbee; big brother of Mary and Anna Whedbee; father of Michael Whedbee; and, of course, the Dallas Cowboys¹ No. 1 fan. Leland had many heart problems from the time he was a little boy, and all his life he fought great challenges and struggles to just live life to the fullest. Although doing a great job at it, he made sure to give everyone heck with his comical, goofy attitude. Even if Leland didn¹t know you, he found a way to make you and everyone laugh. Leland recently started a new part in his life with a wonderful girlfriend, Jennifer Haley, who he asked to marry him only one week ago, not knowing his time here with us would soon be ending. As we lay him to rest now, we hold strongly to all the great memories he left behind. He will be greatly missed by many. Memorial services will be at noon, Saturday, Oct. 30, at Good Samaritan - Four Corners Village, 500 Care Lane in Aztec. Arrangements are with Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W.
