Lenore Polly Pettit Cline April 6, 1907 - MAY 29, 2010 Lenore Polly Pettit Cline, 103, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010. Polly was born in Albuquerque on April 6, 1907 to Dr, R. Fred and Edith C. Pettit. For the past three years she lived at the Life Care Center of Farmington. She graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1929, with a degree in English and a minor in music. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She met the love of her life, Jack Cline, while both attended the university. They married in August of 1930 and moved to the Bisti Badlands to run the Bisti Trading Post. In 1931, they moved to Fruitland to run the Fruitland Trading Company. Polly lived in Fruitland until 2004, when she moved to The Bridge. Polly had a life long love of music. She gave piano lessons, played for Kirtland School plays, Christmas shows and musicals. She also played for school graduations, weddings, and dance recitals. She was also a member of the Delphian Society, a former president of San Juan Hospital Auxiliary, and a volunteer at the hospital gift shop and Farmington Museum. Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, in 1955; her eldest son Gary, in 2003; grandchildren Cody and Becky Alexander and two daughter-in-laws, Marilyn Cline and Joyce Cline.
