Leo L. Guerra

Leo Guerra, age 64, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 27, 2018 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Leo was born to Lee and Bobbie Guerra on February 22, 1954. Leo is preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Derry Guerra, Gilbert Guerra; and his brother-in-law; Arthur Burris. Leo is survived by his wife; Heidi Guerra; his adoptive children; Mrudula Ravada and husband, Gowtham Chilakapati, Amanda Scarborough, Barbara Reynolds, and Phil Torres; his goddaughter; Cheyenne Maxwell; his sister; Patricia Burris; brother-in-law; Wolfgang Lessau; and sister-in-law; Anita Guerra; grandson, Leonard "Lenny" Saiz; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The Holy Rosary will be on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 8:30 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro with the Mass of Resurrection immediately following at 9:00 am. Burial will be in the Lemitar Cemetery. Pallbearers are Johnny Joe Maxwell, David Avalos Jr., Michael Guerra, and Adrian Avalos. Honorary Pallbearers are the facilities management at New Mexico Tech, George Green, Cheyenne Maxwell, Shaedyn Smith and Dustin Smith. A reception will be held immediately following the burial at the San Miguel Parish Hall.
