Farmington Leon Calhoon Bailey Leon Calhoon Bailey, 76, of Farmington, passed away Friday, March 19 2010. He was born June 8, 1933 in Belen, NM to Kermit and Hazel Bailey. Leon is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce (Smith) Bailey. His son, Cliff (Michelle) Bailey of Rio Rancho, NM; his brother, Mickey (Vicki) Bailey of Huntsville, TX; sister in law, Jane Bailey of Alabama. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 5 great- grand children and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Lyle- (Letitia) Bailey. Leon is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy; He served his country during the Korean Conflict with honors. He was a craftsman in woodworking, were he specialized in children’s toys. Leon was also a lifetime member of the Mason’s, Belen, NM, VFW in Parker, AZ, Elks Club of Montrose, CO and the American Legion. The Family will be holding a Celebration of Leon at a later date. In Lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to be made to a charity of your choice. Leon’s care has been entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington, 404 W. Arrington, 505-327-5142.
