LeRoy Padilla

LeRoy A. Padilla, age 82, was born in Belen, New Mexico, and was a graduate of Belen High School. A resident of Albuquerque since 1958.

LeRoy passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 31st, 2022.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Roberta, his son Arnold and his wife Elizabeth, grandchildren, Anthony, Ashley, Adam and his wife Skye, great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Kiani, Eliana, and Olivia Padilla. LeRoy was preceded in death by his mother Flora, his father Antonio (Tony), his brother Barney, his first-born son Anthony and his daughter Suzanne.

LeRoy retired as an officer of Bank of America, where his career spanned thirty-two years in the banking industry LeRoy was a lifelong Lobo fan and season ticket holder since Johnson Gym.  He also was a football season ticket holder and supported UNM athletics as a Lobo Club member. LeRoy was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, camping, and tailgating with family and friends. LeRoy was known for his kind heart and witty humor. His smile and love will be forever missed.

A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023, beginning at 9:30AM, followed by a Mass at 10:00AM at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, located at 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87114. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, located at 1900 Edith Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87114.
