Lewis Robinson Perrings

PERRINGS - Lewis Robinson Perrings, age 79, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his home, Thursday, August 26, 2010, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Carlinville, IL, formerly resided in Dyer, IN and was a resident of Albuquerque since 1994. Lewis was a member of the Sandia Presbyterian Church. He retired from IBM after 33 years as a Field Engineer; and was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, who served our country during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Sarah Perrings; a brother, Charles Perrings; and sister-in-law, Sara Perrings. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Vena Perrings of the family home in Albuquerque; his wonderful children, David and wife Sonda of Danville, CA, Mark and wife Rebecca of Westlake, OH, Marcia of Louisville, CO, and Ann and husband Jeff Traven of New Lenox, IL; his precious grandchildren, Matthew and wife Meghan, Ben, Laura, Elliott, Sam Perrings, William, and Andrew Traven; his brother, Kinley of Springfield, IL; sister-in-law, Helen Perrings of Carlinville, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lewis will be greatly missed by all. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Presbyterian Chruch, 10704 Paeso Del Norte NE. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Sandia Presbyterian Church, or to the charity of your choice in Lewis’ Memory.
