Fred “Peleke” Douglas Beers III of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the age of 51.
Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Anita Beers of Albuquerque, NM; son, Daniel Beers of Albuquerque, NM; father, Fred Beers Jr. of Celebration, FL; and sisters, Jamie Beers-Gosnell of Sedona, AZ and Kim Beers-Morales of Celebration, FL. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Marie Beers.
Fred was born on July 24, 1970, in Honolulu, HI to Fred Douglas Jr. and Margaret Moore. He graduated from Newbury Park High School in Moorpark, CA in 1988. Fred earned his Bachelor of Science and Mathematics from the California Lutheran University in 1996. He served in the Air Force for two years and ranked as Airman First Class. Fred married Anita Eileen Gilbert on June 16, 2001, in Anaheim, CA.
Fred worked for the Bernalillo County Sherriff’s Office for 13 and a half years. As Lieutenant, he accomplished being part of the BCSO Honor Guard and BCSO Metropolitan Air Support Unit. Fred was a loving, caring, and dedicated person who loved running, hiking, climbing, and flying. He was very proud of running in the Boston Marathon and becoming a private pilot. He loved spending time with his family, friends and being involved in the community. Fred was a coach for the AAT Club Track & Cross-Country team in Albuquerque, NM and was also a part of the Boy Scout Troop 417 in Rio Rancho, NM. He was an active and dedicated member of the Civil Air Patrol.
Fred will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation will take place from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Daniels Family Funeral Services – Sara Rd. Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at The Pit, 1111 University Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. An interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
