Lily Elizabeth Sanchez Kirchner

Lily, 93, beloved Mom, Nanny, Gram, and Great-Grandmother was born July 8, 1925, Belen,

NM, to Rodrigo Sanchez and Rita Aragon Sanchez.  She passed away on October 30, 2018.

She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia A. Maruffi and her husband John, grandchildren Joe N. and Maria A. Maruffi, Joe’s wife Melissa and Maria’s husband Anthony Okamura, great-granddaughters, Giovanna Elizabeth and Michaela Rae Okamura, sister Susie Sanchez and husband Adolfo, and dear friend, MariaElena Rael.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ted G. Kirchner, her parents, and her sisters, Lugarda and Lorens.

Family and friends may visit Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at Daniels Funeral Home, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE., followed by a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE.  Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.

The family would like to extend an invitation to all to join them in a celebration of Lily’s life, immediately following the services, at her favorite restaurant, Papa Felipe’s, 9800 Menaul Blvd. NE.  

Lily’s family wish to express their deepest appreciation to those special caregivers at Muros De Salvacion Assisted Living Facility and to the highly supportive staff of Hospice of New Mexico, for their genuine compassion and gentle care.
