June 3, 1935 — October 4, 2023

Albuquerque

Lily Milligan, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 4th in Albuquerque where she resided for most of her life. Lily was born in Barriales, New Mexico to Antonio and Maria Padilla and was raised on a small ranch. She graduated from Belen High School in 1954 and moved to Albuquerque where she was employed at Kirtland Air Force Base. She met her husband, Pat, and over their 65 years of marriage raised five children and worked part-time with him. Lily will be forever remembered for her kindness, generosity, hospitality, and famous tortillas. She loved to read, go for early morning walks at the park, travel, and go on vacations with her children and grandchildren. She was a caring wife, a supportive mother, and "nana" to her grandchildren; she always encouraged them to do their best in all their endeavors. She will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by her son, Paul, and husband, Pat, of 65 years, Lily is survived by her four children, (Lynne and husband Gilbert), (Loretta and husband Steve), (John and Ingrid), and (Linda and husband Mark), 12 grandchildren (Jennifer and Terrence), (Lisa and husband Ryan), (John Paul and wife Vangie), (Sarah and Kon), (Jordan and husband Sami), Lily, Alex, Zakaya, Maximus, Jared, Ana-Adela, and Natasha. Additionally, Lily had six great-grandchildren, Olivia, Takota, Stella, Zion, Bryce, and Owen.

On Friday, October 20th, there will be a small service for immediate family and friends beginning at 11:30 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the New Mexico Make-A-Wish Foundation.
