Linda Lee Calcote was born April 6, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Emile & Dorothy De Muth. Linda Graduated from Hoover High School in Fresno, California. Linda was married to John Calcote and they had a son, John. Linda worked for many years at Physician’s Automated Lab (PAL) in Bakersfield, California. Linda had many friends at PAL, her best friend Gloria Squyres, introduced her to Ron Squyres. Ron and Linda dated for several years and were married June 23, 2002. Ron and Linda served in the ministry together at Higher Ground Church for many years. Linda was and event planner, Sunday school teacher and in the jail ministry at Lerdo Detention Facility in Bakersfield, California. Linda retired from PAL in 2014. It was then that her and Ron moved to San Luis Obispo, California and Linda also retired from the ministry at Higher Ground Church. Linda often talked fondly of her time in the ministry and at PAL. Linda moved to New Mexico in 2015 with her husband Ron and his parents.
Linda touched the lives of many family and friends. All who knew her, loved her dearly and will miss her greatly. She always wanted to know how everyone was doing and had an ear to listen.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Emile and Dorothy De Muth, her brother Gregory De Muth and her father-in-law, Joseph Squyres. Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of nearly 18 years Ron Squyres and their dog Shiloh. Also surviving are Linda’s son John Calcote and his wife Tami and their children; Step-children Kimberly, RJ, Angela, and their families; brother-in-law Donny Squyres and wife Jennifer; mother-in-law Gayle Squyres; many other family and friends.
