Lisaida Ortiz

Lisaida Ortiz went to be with Jesus on April 20, 2023, at the age of 98. She is survived by her daughter Rosemary Roybal, daughter-in-law Lorraine Ortiz, sons Robert Ortiz Sr., Steven Ortiz and wife Jeannie, sisters Betty Dominguez, Esther Lujan and Rose Sena, brother Joe Valdez and wife Matilda. Lisaida had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and friends who loved her and will greatly miss her.

Lisaida was a lifelong resident of Pena Blanca, New Mexico. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe church. Her favorite pass time was spending time with family, playing bingo, and going to the casino. Words to describe Lisaida are generous, strong, humble, independent, and always thinking of others.

Services will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pena Blanca on Monday, May 22, 2023. Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am followed by Catholic Mass at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe cemetery.

A reception will be held after interment at Pena Blanca Gym (778 St, NM-22, Peña Blanca, NM 87041).
