Age 80, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Socorro, NM. She was born in Socorro, NM on June 1, 1938, to John C. and Flora (Romero) Jaramillo. Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Socorro and graduated from Socorro High School. She served as the Socorro County Clerk, Socorro County Deputy Clerk and worked as a secretary for the Socorro County Managers Office for 10 years before retiring. Lorraine enjoyed working in her yard and loved to garden. She was very active in politics over the years. Lorraine was very strong in her faith and very active in her church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tony Jaramillo; and son-in-law, Charlie Esquebel.  Lorraine is survived by husband of 58 years, Donald Woodard; her son, Donald R. Woodard and wife, Eleanor; daughter, Johanna Esquebel; grandchildren, Alan and Lauren Woodard, and Anthony and Ashley Esquebel; brothers, Andy and Frank Jaramillo; sisters, Isabel Montoya, Leah Wills, Gloria Casey, and Corina Taylor. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 10:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro with a Communion Service to follow at 11:00 am.
