Funeral Services for Louise B. Cowboy-Thomas 83, of Manuelito, New Mexico will be held on Thursday September 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Cope Memorial Chapel with Bishop Jerry DuBoise officiating. Burial will follow on familyland In Manuelito, New Mexico. Cowboy-Thomas was born January 1, 1927 in Manuelito, New Mexico and died on August 29, 2010 in Gallup, New Mexico. She was born for the Sleeping Rock Clan into the Towering House clan. She worked with Atkinson Trading in early years and lived and worked in Idaho and Phoenix.. She was a traditional silversmith by trade. Survivors include her sons Jerry Cowboy Sr of Manuelito; Henry Bickel of Gallup, New Mexico and Michael Thomas of Red Rock, New Mexico. Daughters are Arlene Yazzie, Ella Cowboy, Annie Cowboy, Marion M. Cowboy, All of Window Rock, Arizona. Fannie Cowboy of Window Rock, Arizona. Laverna Thomas and Carmelita Thomas both of Manuelito, New Mexico. A brother Allen Joe Bickel of Ramah, New Mexico. And her sisters Sadie Sam Mary Smith, Glenna Yazzie and Esther John of Manuelito, New Mexico. 27 grandchildren 30 Great grandchildren and 3 Great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Bickel and Glena Bah. Pallbearers are Jerry Cowboy Str., Phil D. Smith, Phillip Yazzie, Kent Gray, Duane Tsosie and Wesley Tsosie.
