Lowell D. Wilson

Lowell D. Wilson, 82, of Flora Vista, died on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, in Flora Vista. He was born July 4, 1929, in Newellton, La., to Ernest and Ruby Wilson.
Lowell loved his garden and would always have enough to share with others. He also loved hunting and fishing with anyone who wanted to take him. Lowell attended Newellton High School where he met and married the love of his life, Mable Reid, Feb. 28, 1948. The two of them shared a full life together for almost 60 years, until her passing Jan. 8, 2008.
Lowell loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren until his last breath. His bestest buddy Loren was by his side and his helper girls, Loree and Lilly, showered him with love. Lowell also loved and cared for his extensive nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable; parents, Ernest and Ruby Wilson; one brother, one sister and one grandchild. Lowell is survived by his sons, Dale Wilson Jr., and Royce (Beth) Wilson; two brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Arthur Blevins will officiate. Pallbearers are Shorty Foster, Dextin Wilson, Royce Wilson, Bart Law, W.C. Jones and Lester Foster. Arrangements are with Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec, 405 S. Main Ave., (505) 334-9332.
