LTC Lewis Edward Johnson Jr.

Lewis Edward Johnson Jr., age 89, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 9 years, Tammy, and his children: daughters Troylyn (John) LeForge, Jylena McCrea, and Suayn (Nick) Moise; sons Lewis Edward (Cindy) Johnson III, David Brent (Jennifer) Johnson, Joseph Lee (Paige) Johnson, and Patrick William (Stacey) Johnson; step-daughter, Madeline Kasprzak; step-son, Maxwell Kasprzak; along with 29 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Lewis was preceded in death by his late wife of 56 years, Shirley Sue Johnson; his parents, Dorothy Korn and Lewis E. Johnson; and his siblings, William Johnson and Sue Mink.

Lewis's entire life was reflected in his motto, "If I am not successful on the first try, I will be successful on the second try."

Services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Daniel's Funeral Home, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
