Lucy R. Cooley

Cooley, Lucy Renee Age 79, passed away peacefully in her Rio Rancho, NM home on May, 30, 2012. She was born in Glendale, CA in 1932, and was raised there and in Quines Creek, OR. After graduating from High School she worked as a stewardess for Frontier Airlines and later became a dental assistant. Lucy married in 1953, trading her career for her most fulfilling role, that of devoted and loving wife and mother of two boys. She was active in the church and became a very talented and award winning clay and gourd artist. Lucy was preceded in death by her son Gregg K. Cooley in 1970 and her husband J. Ross Cooley in 1992. She is survived by her son Mark R. Cooley and his partner Jeri S. Schneider of Rio Rancho. Per Lucy's wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service, she requested that friends and loved ones continue to hold her memory in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be made in Lucy's honor to your local Hospice program or Wounded Warriors Project.
