Maclovia C. Thrush

Maclovia "Mackie" Cordova Thrush was born March 24, 1938, in Cuba, New Mexico, to Daniel and Eloisa Cordova. She went home to heaven December 27, 2022, at age 84.
Mackie was married to the love of her life, Daniel Thrush, for 30 years. Loved immeasurably by her four daughters, Mackie dedicated her life to her family. She constantly offered love, support, and a hot meal to whomever of her family dropped by to visit. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the smell of fresh tortillas.
Mackie enjoyed completing her daily crossword puzzle over a hot cup of coffee, and was always up for a game of Yahtzee. She loved to crochet, and gifted her family beautiful afghans that became cherished heirlooms. One of the great joys in her life were her pets, especially her beloved cats. A woman of great faith in her Savior, Mackie attended church at Calvary Church Albuquerque and Sagebrush Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Velma Barclay, Lydia Carson, and Cordy Valdez, brothers Eddie Cordova and Eluid Cordova, and her husband Daniel Thrush. She leaves behind her beloved daughters and their spouses, Audrey Madrid (Philip), Ruby Richards (Rick), Debbie Abeyta (Terry), and Marti Currier (Trevor), her stepsons Joe Thrush (Danielle) and Mike Tull, her stepdaughter Susan Hernandez/Tull (Pedro), her twelve grandchildren, and her eighteen great-grandchildren.
Mackie was greatly loved by her family and friends, and her quiet, gentle, and loving spirit will be greatly missed.
A private, family memorial will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Sandia Memory Garden.
