Madalena "Nena" Valdez

Madalena “Nena” Valdez, age 45, passed away on January 20, 2022, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born November 12, 1976, to Josie Valdez in Cuba, NM.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Priscilla Valdez.
She is survived by her three children, Lea Hofman, Mya Hofman, and Jason Hofman Jr of Albuquerque, NM.
Madalena was a very loving mother. If you knew her, you knew how strong willed she was both physically and mentally. She always prayed for her loved ones and never failed to make you feel like you were a part of the family. She was so caring and gave all she could to help, whether it was food, love, support; she gave great advice with no judgement when you were expressing yourself with her—you could always go to her with anything.
She very much enjoyed the beautiful arts of life like, collecting films, creating her own art, baking for her loved ones, collecting music, and making everybody feel close. She only wanted peace and happiness for all. Madalena was also a member of Queen Heaven Parish Church.
She loved her children very much and she will be deeply mourned.
We whole heartedly want to thank everyone, who has given our family their support, in words of comfort, and through prayers during this very difficult time. Your kindness means the world to us—in the past to the present. We know it brings our momma ease, to see her children and family being taken care of by so many loved ones. We dearly thank you all and God Bless you always.
A Visitation will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Queen of Heaven, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
