Maida
Larribas
March 25, 1941 – April 19, 2026
Maida Larribas, a beloved mother, devoted wife, and cherished sister, passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 85 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born on March 25, 1941, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Maida lived a life defined by extraordinary generosity, quiet sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Maida was an exceptionally selfless individual who dedicated herself to the well-being of her family above all else. She made countless sacrifices throughout her life to ensure that her sons had every opportunity to thrive. Whether offering support during difficult times, lending a helping hand with whatever was needed, or sharing her thoughtful and wise counsel, Maida was always available to those who needed her. Her presence was a steady source of comfort and strength, and her guidance touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Beyond her devotion to family, Maida found great joy in travel and togetherness. She treasured her trips to California and especially loved the family cruises that brought everyone together for lasting memories. These experiences reflected what mattered most to her: time spent with the people she held dear.
Maida was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Larribas Sr.; her son, Ralph Larribas; and her brothers, Mike Trujillo and Max Trujillo. She is survived by her sons, Edward Larribas Jr. (Debbie), George Larribas, Chris Larribas (Jenn), seven granddaughters and three great grandchildren; her brother, Steve Cordova; and numerous extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by her love.
Maida's faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and it is in that faith that her family finds comfort and peace during this time of loss. May she rest in the loving arms of the Lord she served with a humble and generous heart.
