Mannen Clements

Mannen Clements, 81, of Bloomfield, died on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011. He was born Oct. 30, 1930, in Corona, N.M., and raised there.
In 1949 he started his career with New Mexico Game and Fish. He worked with Game and Fish for two years before joining the Navy. He was stationed at El Centro Naval Base in California from 1951 to 1955.
When he got out of the service, he continued his work with the Game and Fish Department in Seven Springs, Parkview, Santa Rosa and Farmington. He has lived in the Farmington and Bloomfield areas since 1964. He worked for N.M. Game and Fish from 1949 to 1983, completing 33 years of service.
Mannen and Lila Turner, the love of his life, married on Jan. 20, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lila; and five sisters.
He is survived by his sister, Julianne Boyd of Juneau, Alaska; sons, Wes (Mary) Clements and Dan Clements; grandchildren, Tami (Matt) Garrison, Valerie (James) Cagle, Stacey Radojits and Jason (Nicole) Clements; and seven great-grandchildren. Mannen will be cremated at his request. Interment for both Mannen and Lila will be in Corona at a later date.
