“We Are The Richest Family In The World!” Our dad would always say after Grace at our many family get togethers
Manuel T. Crespin was born May 9, 1944, in Albuquerque and raised in Cuba NM. Before meeting the love of his life, his wife Vivian of 58 years and starting a family beginning with his beautiful daughter Peggy, a year later Manuel Jr., then his diamond in the rough Matthew. Manuel joined APD in 1965 as a motorcycle patrolman but spent most of his career as a homicide detective, receiving numerous compliments and commendations for his honesty, hard work, and Professionalism. Manuel Retired in 1986 and enjoyed playing golf daily until rejoining the workforce with SunWest banks until finally retiring in 2006 from The Bank of America as a Corporate Security Associate for the southwest region in order to spend more time with his grandkids, Annmarie, Toby, Crista, Kasey and his newest Matthew Jr.
Manuel was actively involved with the Albuquerque, NM, Fraternal Order of Police and served terms as President and Vice President, played on their softball team, enjoyed city league basketball, and racquetball. He coached his sons little league teams, a member of Los Chuecos GC., and served as treasurer. He was part of the NMOA where he officiated college, and high school Basketball, Football and Baseball. He continued to be active with his family’s Cattle Company, PACC, another one of his life’s enjoyments!
Manny was a people person; he always had a smile and a hug for those he came across. Manuel is proceeded in death by his mother Carmeleta Aragon His father’s Manuel Crespin and Pablo Aragon, Sisters Henrietta Neville, Annie Ash, Maggie Aragon and his Brother Richard Aragon. He is survived by his wife Vivian, his Children Gary Gilmore, Peggy Gilmore, Manuel Crespin, Norma Crespin, and Matthew Crespin, His grandchildren Annmarie, Toby, Crista, Kasey, and Matthew jr, His Great Grandchildren, Fransisco, Liam and Ethan, His Brothers Ed, Johnny, Julius, Leonard Aragon and Randy Mirabal, His Sisters Amelia Aragon, Margaret Crespin-Gutierrez, Susan Crespin, and Gloria Aragon, Numerous extended family and friends that he loved and cherished! He passed on knowing he was, “The Richest Man in the World,” Because of his many family and friends.
A Rosary service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 6:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church - Downtown, and a Mass service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church - Downtown with an Interment Service to follow at 11:00 AM at Gate of Heaven.
