Marcelina P. Alderete

Marcelina P. Alderete passed away on January 3, 2011 in Gallup, NM, she was 68. She was born on June 2, 1942 in Manuelito, NM to Aron Alderete and Deliria Pizarro Alderete. She was an active member of the Maran-Ata Iglesia Cristiana Church. She had worked for several area businesses, including K-mart, Winn’s, Ranch Kitchen and her most recent employment as a Senior Companion with McKinley County Senior Companion Program. Four sons survive her: Juan Vega and his wife Lisa of Gallup, Lucino Vega and his wife Kathy of Albuquerque, Zeferino Vega of Albuquerque, and Marco Vega of Albuquerque. Fifteen Grandchildren, Two great-grandchildren. Three sisters: Lola Gutierrez, Vivian Silva, and Carmen Mahto. One Brother: Aron Chavez survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents Aron and Deliria Alderete. One brother: Levi Alderete. Two sisters: Toni Quiroz, and Ruby Quiroz. Five nieces and one grandnephew. A Funeral service will be held on Friday January 7, 2011 at 10:00 am at Maran-Ata Iglesia Cristiana with Pastor Martin Lopez officiating, A reception will follow the church services at 610 E. Pershing. Interment of the cremated remains will take place on Tuesday January 11, 2011 at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers include: Tabitha Sanchez, Luis Sanchez Jr., Cruz Alderete, Malik Silva, Angelo Thompson, and Jerusalem Lopez. Honorary Pallbearers include: Lucino Vega, and Zeferino Vega.
