Marcella Rita Martinez

         Marcella (Marsha) Martinez, age 78, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on February 25, 2024. She was born on May 12, 1945, in Las Vegas, NM.

Marcella was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, NM. She was a west Las Vegas Don; she retired as a nurse from the University of New Mexico Hospital. She also worked at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute in Las Vegas and did other jobs.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Cirilo Martinez; Son, Micheal Martinez; and her mother, Mary Roybal.

She is survived by her loving children: Mary Rose (Ron), Berta (Mike), Myra (John), Melissa (Juan), Loretta (Archie); Goddaughter: Bernadette (Ruben); Grandchildren: Marcos, Jessica, Mark, Micheal, Monique, Johnny, Esperanza, Patrick, Angelica; Great grandchildren: Shea Marie, Rylynn, Elias, Fabien, Faith, and Diamond; Her cousins; who became her siblings because she was an only child, Nieces, Nephews, and her God Children who meant the world to her!

Marcella Cherished all her family dearly. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Friend, to all who knew her. She Always lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed!
