Marco Gutierrez

Marco Gutierrez, beloved partner, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 29th, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Marco was a jack-of-all-trades — there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. Whether it was a broken engine, something around the house, or a challenge that needed a creative touch, he always found a way. Smart, funny, and endlessly resourceful, Marco had a knack for solving problems, telling a good joke, and lifting the spirits of everyone around him.

Marco loved the outdoors and had an adventurous soul — whether he was skiing down a mountain, riding his dirt bike, or heading out on a hunting trip at sunrise, he loved anything that got his heart pumping. Amongst many other things he was skilled at shooting, archery and leatherwork. No matter what he did, he gave it his all.

Above all, Marco loved his family and cherished his faith. He was a devoted partner, a proud dad, and an adoring grandfather whose eyes always lit up around his grandkids.

Marco had a strong faith in God, and his family finds peace in knowing he knew his Savior and is now home in His presence.

Marco is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Ricardo and Gregorita, and his mother, Joyleen. He is survived by his partner, Janice; their children, Ray, Jasmine, Wayne, Dylan, Jocelyn, Ryan, and Denee; his grandchildren, Jaxin, Brysen, Sofie, and Darlene; his sister, Michelle, and brother, John. He is also survived by many other family members and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Though he is no longer with us, Marco’s spirit will live on — in the rumble of a dirt bike, the stillness of the woods, the craftsmanship of a piece of leather, and the laughter of those who loved him most.

A celebration of life will be held at New Beginnings Church, 4770 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, on October 24th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Marco by spending time outdoors, taking a ride, or fixing something in his memory.
