Age 66, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 in Magdalena, NM. She was born in Horse Springs, NM on October 13, 1949, to Amado and Josie (Rael) Aragon. Margie loved spending time in her garden and enjoyed bird watching. She was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Margie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her son, Amado Mendez; her sister, Mary Lou Gonzales; brothers, Frank Aragon, Lorenzo Aragon, and Ricky Aragon. Margie is survived by husband of 45 years, Juan F. Mendez; daughters, Yolanda Yara and husband, Ernest, and Amelia McMahan and husband, James; son, Juan Mendez Jr. and wife, Monica; sister, Luciana Gutierrez; brother, Donaciano Aragon; grandchildren, Isaac Yara, Isaiah Yara, Emily Yara, Adam Mendez, Amanda Mendez, Brian Mendez, Orlando Mendez, Alexandra Mendez, Samantha McMahan, Amado McMahan, Angelina McMahan, Arscenia Lucero, and Jadan Kellar; great-grandson, Joseph Chavez Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, 1:00 pm, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Horse Springs, NM Inurnment to follow at Horse Springs Cemetery.
