Margaret Dohrer Pino, 94, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family
Margaret was recently honored with the Living Nurse Tribute by the New Mexico Nurses Honor Guard in recognition of her compassionate service at the Cradle Home and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Santa Fe, and for her dedication of 40 years to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Albuquerque.
Margaret led a rich and adventurous life. She took flying lessons and enjoyed horseback riding in her youth. She loved to travel and took frequent trips to Notre Dame games and to Las Vegas, Nevada. She took pride in entering her baked goods in the New Mexico State Fair and cherished family game nights.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Anthony, and their children: Tony (Julie), their sons Lyle (Kim) and Curtis (Becky); Michael (Kathy), their sons Danny (Kenneth) and Scott; Jesus Gonzalez-Aller (Uli), and their children Laszlo, Mariluz, and Alma; Eileen and her children Matthew, Raquel (Eric), and Jacqueline; Helen; Kathy (Tom) and their children Chris (Anastasha) and Jimmie; Stephen (Paulina) and their children Stefan (Crissey), Evan and Isabella; Marlene and her children Wyatt and Zoe.
Margaret is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy.
A rosary, followed by a funeral Mass, will be held at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 2621 Vermont St. NE, Albuquerque at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to Margaret’s heart.
