Margarito "Shorty" R. Urioste

Margarito "Shorty" Urioste, age 82, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully Monday, August 18, 2014. He was born in Dilia, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Margarito retired from Bernalillo County, where he made many friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Bobby, Larry, Phillip Urioste; and grandson, Phillip, Jr. Margarito is survived by his loving children, Michael who took care of his father 24/7 from 2002 to 2014, Jerry, Tony, Ruben, Diane Zafra and husband Christian, and Debbie; his grandchildren, Jason, Jerome, Mathew, Jared, Jennifer, Christopher and Nicholas; and many other relatives and friends. Margarito will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to our mother, Claudine Maes, for her compassion, care, and support throughout our father's illness. Visitations will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, followed by the Service of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be George Urioste, Tony Urioste, Nicholas Urioste, Christopher Romero, Mathew Romero, and Danny Sandoval.
