Margie Lucero (Martinez), a resident of Alameda, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026.

Margie is survived by her loving husband, Joe Lucero Jr.; two daughters, Arlene Cooke and Jeanette (Tony) Easley; three granddaughters, Averi (Jordan), Samantha, and Allison (Ovi); and her great-grandson, Dominic.

She is also survived by her sister, Mary (Roger) Sanchez; nephews Mark (Yvonne) and their two sons, and Jeffrey (Trisha) and their son and daughter, along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Onofre and Elsie; her sister, Esther Chavez; her brother, Walter Martinez; and her special cousin, Mayta Morris.

Margie enjoyed giving back to her community and volunteered many hours at a local senior center. She also loved spending her time doing arts and crafts. Her kindness, creativity, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A prayer service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 11:00 am at Daniels Family Funeral Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124
