Maria Irma Aldaba, 62, of Farmingtonpassed away peacefully with her family by her side due to massive stroke while vacationing in Steamboat, Colorado with her brother on Monday, June 21, 2010 in Denver, Colorado. Maria was born October 27, 1947 in Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend will no longer have to try and hide the emptiness and sadness felt due to the loss of her husband Alejandro Aldaba in 2008. Now they can dance and sing with the angles in God’s great kingdom in heaven. Maria is survived by her stepmother Petra Gonzales, son Alex (Sandra) Aldava of Bloomfield, daughter Guadalupe Aldaba (Rafael Paez) of Farmington, Cecilia (Tomas) Alba of Farmington; Nancy (Luis) Guerrero of Farmington; grandchildren Andrew and Bianca Aldava; great-grandchildren, Gabriela Guerrero, Victor Alba, Tatiana Guerrero, Ashley Alba and Jermayne Guerrero; 11 brothers and sisters Manuel de Jesus Gonzales, Fernando Gonzales, Raul Gonzales, Lili Alvarado, Carlos Gonzales, Norma Gomez, Cesar Gonzales, Dario Humberto Gonzales and Marco Alvarado. Maria was preceded in death by husband Alejandro, father Manuel Gonzales, mother Victoria, and a sister Rosa Alvarado. Cremation has taken place and Rosary services for Maria will be recited on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St. in Farmington. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th in Farmington.
