Maria J Chavez

Maria J. Chavez, 86, passed away on December 8, 2025 in Corrales, New Mexico. She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico to Jose Covarrubias and Elisa Muñoz.

1. Maria married Antonio Chavez, on January 2, 1960. Together they built a beautiful family grounded in love, faith, and hard work.

3. She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Covarrubias; mother, Elisa Muñoz; sister Ema Covarrubias; 
4. and brothers, Dr. Vicente Covarrubias and Luis Covarrubias.

Maria is survived by her children: Hector (Marcia), Lourdes, Gonzalo, Norma (Ted), Yolanda (George), Tony (Brenda), and Oscar Chavez, as well as her cherished grandchildren who brought her great joy, in addition to brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
