Maria Orselia Marcus

Mrs. Maria Orselia Marcus, age 91, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday evening, October 12, 2022, at her residence.

She was born September 1, 1931, in Springer, New Mexico, a daughter of the late Orselia Gonzales and Jacobo Padilla.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband of  20 years, Edward Marcus; siblings Jake Padilla, Benjamin Padilla, Pauline Madrid and Rosemarie Sandoval.

She was a member of Oasis Family Church, and a homemaker.  She enjoyed music, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Maria is survived by one son, Bill Mora; two daughters, Eileen Daniel and Anita Cortez; four grandchildren, Dolores Taylor, Monica Cortez, Michelle Tostado, and Jennifer Cortez; and several great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. (Mountain Time) on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Daniels Family Funeral Services Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, in Albuquerque, NM, with Reverend Dustin S. Burrow officiating.
