Maria Marquez

MARQUEZ - Maria Marquez, 100, loving mother, grandmother and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Sunday, October 31, 2010. Maria was born November 6, 1909 in Marquez, New Mexico. Maria was an amazing seamstress and loved to dance. Maria enjoyed spending time with her wonderful family and socializing with her friends and neighbors. Maria is survived by her loving children Dora Lovato, Jesus Marquez and wife Mary, Annie Gonzales, Raynaldo Sr. Marquez and wife Trinnie, Mary Pruitt, Steve Marquez; 21 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; and numerous friends and family. Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband Audon; her children Rose Garcia, Alfredo Marquez, Frankie Marquez; six brothers and two sisters. Maria will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Visitation will take place in the Chapel of Angels at Garcia Mortuary Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a reciting of the Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW; Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers are Randy Garcia, Roy Marquez, Manuel Gonzales, Rosendo Gonzales Jr., Marcus Salazar and Ben Marquez. Honorary Bearer, David Marquez.
