Maria C. Moreno

Mrs. Maria C. “Auntie Many” Moreno passed away at her home in Bernalillo, New Mexico, on December 17^th, 2022, at the age of 68 years old.

Maria is survived by her mother Carmen B. Chavez of Bernalillo, New Mexico, her brother Ralph and his Wife Annette of Bernalillo, NM, her sister Barbara Chavez of Bernalillo, NM, her sister Cecelia Padilla of Albuquerque, NM, her brother John and his wife Rosemary of Bernalillo, NM, her brother James Baca of Bernalillo, NM, her brother Jose and his wife Evelyn of Chimayo, NM, and by her brother Melvin Chavez of Bernalillo, NM, and by many nieces and nephews. Maria is preceded in death by her husband Larry Moreno, her father Melisendro Chavez, her brother Leonard Chavez, her brother Mel Chavez and by her brother Roger Chavez.

Maria was born in Bernalillo, New Mexico, on Tuesday, December 22^nd, 1953, to Carmen (Baca) and Melisendro Chavez. Maria married Mr. Larry Moreno in Bernalillo, NM, on Saturday, March 17^th, 1979. They were married for twenty-two years. She enjoyed baking, bingo, and was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Maria was devoted to her daily rosary and Sunday mass.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” – John 11:25-26

A Rosary will be held on Friday, January 6^th, 2023, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, located at 301 S Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM, 87004, beginning at 7:00PM. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Saturday January 7^th, 2023, beginning at 10:30AM. Directly after Mass, Interment will take place at Bernalillo Cemetery, located at 315 US-550, Bernalillo, NM, 87001.
