Marianne Bradley Schwartz, nee File, took her last breath on September 25, 2024 at the age of 87. She lived a full life filled with many to love and many that loved her. Marianne was born in Greenville, Illinois on August 21, 1937. Her family moved to Albuquerque a few years later where Marianne attended St Mary’s Catholic School and ultimately obtained a bachelor's degree at the University of New Mexico. She was an avid reader and loved classic movies and westerns. She traveled to Europe and fell in love with Paris, learned French, watched french movies and read french magazines with hopes to return to Paris one day.
She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother. She was a wonderful, supportive, generous, selfless and loving mother who raised seven children on her own. She was a strong woman with a lot of pride, so much so, that she would not ask anyone for help and was both determined and stubborn. She was an eternal optimist and ingrained that optimism in her children. After her children had all grown, her selfless nature once again arose and she cared for her ailing Father until he passed.
She was a loving, attentive and active participant in her grandchildren's lives. They all called her Emah. Her great grandchildren adored her and she loved seeing pictures and videos of those that she did not see as often.
Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, Loren F File and Genevieve File, her brothers, Donald File, Tony File, her sister-in-law, Peggy File, her nephew Jimmy File, her beloved son-in-law Bryan Benham and recently, her adored dog, Taddie. She is survived by her brothers Michael File, and his wife, Mary File, Loren Fred File, Jr and his wife, Collette File, her children Kathrine M. Sigman, Suzie T. Schwartz, Lee Ann Lees, Michael P. Schwartz, Tina L. Benham, John A. Schwartz, Anne M. Cummins and their significant others. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Josh, Michael, Nathaniel, Jonathan, Jared, Shannon, Tommy, Jennifer, Sheree, Leann, Brooke, Kristen, Keith, Brandon and Orion and their significant others and 14 great grandchildren, Theo, Luca, Bryanna, Jazmyn, Kaylee, Braelyn, Cianna, Avery Anjolie, Lilly, Zoe, Leo, Asher, and Ava.
In the last few years of her life, her love was her dog Taddie, she adored him and his recent passing was very difficult for her.
As per her wishes, her ashes will be scattered in the Jemez Mountains with her dear brother Tony. A private family gathering will follow.
