Marissa M. Martinez

Marissa M. Martinez, was born January 5, 1977 and passed away suddenly on August 18, 2022.  She was a mother, daughter, grand-daughter, sister, and the very best friend to all.  She was very outgoing, athletic, loved shopping, collector of unique items, and had the kindest heart. 

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, coworkers, and the numerous people who’s lives she’s touched in her 45 years of life.  She had a heart of gold and would never hesitate to give the shirt off her back. Stranger or not, she treated everyone with respect, judging no one.  She had a special way of bringing a smile to everyone who crossed her path, making everyone feel worthy.  Her children were the light of her life.  The amount of love and kindness she felt for her children now shines through them.  She was not only their mother, but their best friend forever.  

She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Martinez.  She is survived by her son, Jordan Aztlan; daughter, Angelina Martinez; son, Andres Martinez-Alderette; Mother and Step-father, Debra and Luis Garcia; maternal grandparents, Lorenzo and Jossie Serrano; paternal grandparents, Pete and Virginia Martinez; sister, Angelica Ojeda and her children, Briana, Estevan, Santiago, Eziequel, and Luciano; sister and brother-in-law, Alyssa Ojeda and Jessie Miera and their children, Marcos, Olivia, and Sofia; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  

Services to celebrate Marissa’s life will be as follows: Viewing at Daniel’s Family Funeral Services on Wednesday,  August 31, 2022 from 5-7pm, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Funeral Services will be held at Calvary Chapel on September 1, 2022 at 3pm, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87103.
