Martha Molina Hynes April 25, 1945 - September 30, 2010 Martha Molina Hynes, 65, ended her long battle with cancer on Thursday, September 30, 2010 in her home with her husband and daughter by her side. She was preceded in death by her Father Eloy Molina and Mother Tomacita "Tommy" Molina. She is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Maria, son Tommy, daughter in law Kim and the light of her life, grandchildren T. J. and Kayla. She is also survived by her Sisters Elsie Simmons, Annabelle Molina, Margie Sanchez, Brothers John Molina, Raymond Molina and many nieces and nephews. Martha grew up in Belen, New Mexico and graduated from Belen High School. After High School she took a job with Senator Joseph Montoya and moved to Washington, D.C. in January of 1965 where she met her husband Tom. They later moved and settled in Farmington in 1970. She was a stay at home mom while her children grew up. She then went to work for the Farmington Municipal Schools as a secretary at Hermosa Junior High, during which time she took night classes offered by San Juan College. She then became a full time student at Fort Lewis College and graduated Cum Laude with a teaching Degree. She taught Spanish and English as a Second Language at both Piedra Vista High School and Farmington High School. Martha was a member of the New Mexico Amigas and enjoyed sewing, traveling, and spoiling her grandchildren in her free time. She loved life and lived it to the fullest and will be missed by family and friends. The family extends its gratitude to Doctors Joe Pope and Jim Neidhart as well as the staff at the cancer center for all they have done for Martha. Also a special thank you to her care giver Erica Lucero who provided care and love during Martha’s last days.
