Martha Ellen Lawler

Martha “Marty” E. Lawler 4/12/1955-10/30/2021 of Albuquerque, NM went home to Jesus after a brief illness. 
Marty was born in Bloomington, Ind. to Beecher and Mildred Crichfield.  She was the youngest of seven siblings. 
Marty loved deeply: her family, her friends, and her community.  She adored her husband of 41 years, Tom.  Recently, they completed a bucket list trip to Yellowstone National Park. 
Marty enjoyed being with her children.  She was always willing to go to a concert, dinner, the ABQ BioPark, with her son, TJ, and daughter-in-law, Kim.  She went to see her daughter, Keriann, in Denver, Co. several times a year.  She loved attending plays and traveling.  She and Keriann traveled around Colorado as well as to New York City and Walt Disney World.   
Marty cherished her sister, Alice, relishing the time they had together and exploring northwestern New Mexico, southwestern Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, and Georgia. 
Marty could often be found on the balloon field.  She crewed for several balloons including Fuego Encantado and for her son and his balloon Big “Ziggy” Sky as he learns to become a 
pilot. 
Marty loved her flowers and birds, creating an outdoor oasis she savored.  Her puppy, Rowan, and her grandpup’s, Mesa and Max, also gave her great joy.  She is reunited with her beloved 
Golden, Kaeli. 
Marty knew this mortal life was not her home.  Involved in Calvary Church for more than 30 years, she found her peace and life in Jesus Christ. 
Marty was preceded in death by her father, Beecher, her mother, Mildred, and three brothers: Glenn, Joe, and Eddie. 
Marty is survived by her husband, Tom, son TJ and his wife, Kim, daughter, Keriann, sister, Alice and her partner, John, and brothers, Tim and his wife, Sherry, and John, as well as extended family and friends. 
Please join her family to celebrate her life November 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at Calvary Church, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.  Reception to follow. 
Flowers will be received at Daniel’s Family Funerals and Cremation (Wyoming) in Albuquerque.

Internment of ashes will occur at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
