Martha G Van Berg

Martha G Van Berg 97 passed away peacefully November 17, 2021.  She was born on January 13, 1924 in St Louis Mo to Morris and Fanny (Sachs) Ghertner.  Martha met and married the love of her life, Art Van Berg, in 1946 in St Louis, moving to New Mexico in 1976.

Martha was a very outgoing independent woman and the matriarch of the family who loved life and taking care of others before herself.  She enjoyed playing Mahjong, all kinds of card games, cooking, sewing and gambling penny slots.  Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.  She will be greatly missed by all.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Eli and Lester, husband Art and grandson Todd Van Berg II.

She is survived by sons Neal (Cathy) Taos, NM and Todd (Sheryl) Albuquerque, grandchildren Aaron (Cacia) Denver, Moshe (Jen) Denver, Melissa Johnson Albuquerque, Brian Johnson (Beth) Albuquerque, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
