Martin Dennis Benavidez

Martin Benavidez, 74, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents Juan Z. and Conception Benavidez and brothers Freddie and Leo Benavidez. Martin is survived by his wife and forever Love, Dorothy of Albuquerque; sons Gabriel Benavidez, Michael Benavidez; wife Denise, daughter Nancy Benavidez-Cordova; grandchildren Eugene Lopez, Daniel Ray Cordova, Jose Benavidez, Amaris Benavidez, Issac Benavidez, wife Vanessa, Brittney Castro; husband Luis; great-grandchildren Ezekiel, Azeliya, Zoe and Jeremy Benavidez;  three brothers, John Benavidez, wife Kathy; Peter Benavidez; Phillip Benavidez; two sisters, Theresa Gutierrez, husband Alex;  Janet Fehr and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. 

Marty loved his family unconditionally. Through his selfless ways, he taught the importance of family. He played an important part in the bringing up of his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed working outside whether it was pulling weeds or watering his flowers. He loved cooking meals for everyone, Marty was the best dance partner, always helped others and could make anyone laugh. He is deeply loved and will be missed by many.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 7 at 10:00AM, St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, located at 3424 4^th St NW, Albuquerque 87107. Interment will follow at San Jose De Armijo Cemetery located at 2957 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque 87121.
