Mary Calderone, born Mary Lamb in Belen, New Mexico on August 7, 1954, left us on January 12, 2025. She was a loving sister, aunt, best friend, grandma, and the best mom ever. Mary was amazing, fun, kind and compassionate. She had the prettiest blue eyes, the best smile of all time, and one of the goofiest laughs ever. She worked hard her entire life until her autoimmune disease left her unable to. As her daughter, a few of my favorite memories include she and I cleaning the house to Alan Parsons Project album "Eve" and Moody Blues album "Long Distance Voyager" over and over. Another is the time I got arrested for being out after Albuquerque's teen curfew, and man did she let the police have it with some loud and harsh terms when she came to pick me up. But, my favorite memories are the conversations she and I would have while cooking dinner together every night. She leaves behind her daughter, Amanda Brothers of Albuquerque, her granddaughter, Paige Brothers, her son-in-law, Rob Brothers and her two remaining siblings, Edwin Lamb of Albuquerque, and Donna King of Sapello, NM, brothers-in law Larry King, Gene Langness and Ray Schick as well as sisters-in law Lori Lamb and Carol Lamb. She also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews, and many friends. All who knew her loved her, and will absolutely miss her. Mary's time with us was way too short, but forever would not have been long enough.
