Mary Alice Cogburn left this world to join her Lord and Savior on July 28, 2026. She was reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Charlie. Mary Alice was born in Albuquerque NM on February 11, 1944 to Francisco Trevino and Mary Romero.


She met and married the love of her life Charlie Cogburn while he was stationed at Sandia Base in Albuquerque. They were married April 27, 1963. She made a home wherever they ended up, on Kirtland AFB, Tachikawa Japan and Colorado Springs CO and returned to Albuquerque in 1975 when he retired from the US Air Force.


She is survived by her four sons. Terry (Corinna), Charles Jr. (Lisa), Robert and Brian (Cassie). She adored her nine Grandchildren and attended almost every game and performance they all had. Alec, Adam, Madison, Alyssa, Tessa, Evan, Josie, Olivia, Charles and her Great Granddaughter Brooklyn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.


She was a homemaker and devoted mother while her boys were growing up. Acting as a Little League Team Mother and Board Member as well as a Cub Scout Den Mother. She went to work at K-Mart and Wal Mart for many years where she made many life long friends.


Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Joe, Angie, Francis, Richard, Leon and Victor. Mary Alice accepted her Lord Jesus Christ being baptized and attending Sagebrush Church regularly. A Memorial Service will be held on August 10, 2026 at Daniels Family Funeral Home 7601 Wyoming Blvd. service at 10:00 am Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe NM at 1:00 pm. The family asks that in lieu of flowers to make a donation in her name to the American Cancer Society.
