Mary J Fuqua

FUQUA, Mary J. Fuqua, 77, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010 at her home in Socorro, NM surrounded by her loving children and close friends. Mary was born on April 23, 1933 in New York, NY to Rafael and Maria (Ortega) Fontrodona. She is survived by her devoted children, Maria Fuqua-Hutton and husband, Andy of Santa Fe, NM; and Stephen M. Fuqua IV and wife, Beverly Adele of Gilbert, AZ; her loving grandchildren, Joseph Witherspoon; Brittany Hutton; and Adam Witherspoon; her in laws, David Wolfe and wife, Tricia; and Elsie Plonski. Mary was a resident of Socorro since 1987 and a devoted member of the San Miguel Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen M. Fuqua III in 2000 following 47 years of marriage; her daughter, Elisa Meadows in 2003; and her brother Louie Sanchez. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11:00 am at The San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro, NM with Father William Sanchez as Celebrant.
