Mary Agnes Hanosh

HANOSH-Mary Agnes Hanosh, 77, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM passed away at her home, Monday, April 5, 2010 following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph W. Hanosh; son Joseph Hanosh and wife Kathy; daughter, Stephanie C. Hanosh, all of Rio Rancho, NM; son, George A. Hanosh and wife Karen of Farmington, MI; daughter, Jean M. Hanosh of Avondale, AZ; grandsons, Andrew, Stefan, and Griffin Hanosh; brother, George Fidel Jr. of Las Vegas, NM; sister, Adeline Carabajal of Bosque Farms, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Espanola, NM, the 6th of ten children on April 23, 1932 to the late George and Malvina Fidel. Mary grew up and attended school in Las Vegas, NM in the family home. In 1950 she graduated from the Immaculate Conception High School, Las Vegas, NM. She attended Highlands University, and was employed at Pettit’s abstract company. In 1954 she married her lifelong fellow Joseph W. Hanosh of Detroit, MI. They resided in Ann Arbor, MI where they worked and raised their family until their retirement in 1993, when they returned to Rio Rancho, NM. A lifelong Catholic, Mary was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Thomas the Apostle and Aquinas, and The Incarnation Churches, Beta Sigma Phi member for 30 years, and 3rd/5th grade Catechism Teacher for numerous years. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary was devoted to her faith, her family, and loved to sing and dance. Sleep in Heavenly Peace Mary, we miss you, now our hearts are sore, as time goes by, we miss you more, your loving smile, your gentle face, no one can fill your vacant place.
