Mary Isabel Espinosa

Mary Isabel Espinosa, age 81, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born April 16, 1942, to her parents, Laureano and Aurelia Salazar in Fort Sumner, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Espinosa; son, Ernest Moncallo Jr.; grandson, Jared H. Moncallo.

She is survived by her daughters: Eva Espinosa, Julie Espinosa, and Elizabeth Espinosa-Gallardo all of Albuquerque, NM; son, Raymond Davila of Albuquerque, NM; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Salazar of Phoenix, AZ.

She attended the University of New Mexico.

Mary retired from Kirtland Air Force Base after 38 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church since 2001. Donated to a multitude of children’s charities. She enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, reading, and shopping.

Her family feels as though this Bible verse, Proverbs 31:10-31 The Wife of Noble Character, describes their mother.

A Rosary will be recited Monday, November 6, 2023 at 8:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Josephs Dr. NW, Albuquerque, NM. Interment to follow at 2:30 PM at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM.
